Sep 3, 2010 - @MmeDesgranges Thx for your question, it's one several people have asked. I don't think cis gender men are insensitive by nature, but there's a myth that taking testosterone gives everyone "roid rage," & turns you into a jerk. It is a myth (and I take much less T than bodybuilders do.) That said, T does tend to make people less emotional & some might perceive that as "insensitive." For ex, most trans guys report that they rarely cry on T. Personally, T is a great fit for me---E was all wrong! :)

Sep 3, 2010 - @singlekorean I started testosterone about 3-4 weeks before my top surgery. I had the peri-areolar method, which leaves minimal scarring, then had a revision about 10 months later (after this video) for additional liposuction and areola resizing. Even though it was done over two surgeries, I would go this route again because minimal scarring was important to me.

Sep 3, 2010 - @charlenemonique1 RLE = real life experience. From Wikipedia: "RLE is a process where trans people live in their preferred gender role for a period of time in order to demonstrate that they can function in the preferred role." Yes, I don't mind answering questions at all, even if they are intrusive---depending on how they're asked ;) No plans to ever get married, but do have a long time GF of almost 14 yrs. She's good! Thanks asking and checking in! I hope all is well with you too!!

charlenemonique1 Says:

Sep 2, 2010 - I'm sorry but, what is RLE again?Hello again by the way. I just love re-watching your videos. And I've learned quite abit from you. You're a good teacher and seem to be quite patient as long as ppl dont ask you stupid questions or make mean comments. Thank you so much. God bless you and take care. How's your wife by the way?

singlekorean Says:

Sep 2, 2010 - wait so you got the top surgery then started taking testosterone? cause i myself had thoughts but i've seen couple of folks have scars

emattbax Says:

Sep 1, 2010 - @MmeDesgranges I don't think it was an assumption about men or trans men at all. I think it was just one of things that a pre-transition person worries about, because there isn't anyway to know exactly what will happen before you go through with it. I think the question of becoming insensitive was not assuming that all men are insensitive and therefore he would become insensitive, but a general worry about how T would effect his personality.

MmeDesgranges Says:

Sep 1, 2010 - Were you concerned that FTM trans people taking testosterone become insensitive or that all men are insensitive because of their hormone status?

Aug 27, 2010 - But just to be clear. I'm sorry if I'm rude, but you made me really curious. I watched this video and see you being a girl at a younger age. Basically a Boy trapped in a Girls body ... is that right ? Not meant to be rude at all. Just trying to understand. Thank you. (:

Aug 25, 2010 - I've watched this so many tijmes it's not even funny. I decided to take the first step and called to schedule an appt with a therapist. I've given it alot of thought and I think you are right, I need to get on with it before my son gets any older. I just think it will complicate things with him if I wait. :) Wish me luck!!

Aug 25, 2010 - And on another note, I have been hopeing that you will tell me the name of the song and musician you used in this video. I find it rattling around in my head quite often, and woukld like to know more. -Thanks.

LakeHighiii Says:

Aug 25, 2010 - To transoutlaw, I agree with you on your latest comments. I also think it is rude to introduce ones self, or ask some one how they like to fuc_. So many people think that because it is acceptable to be openly strait or gay, that it is alright to ask some one particulars of what they do in the bed room behind closed doors, and with whom. these same people wouldn't dream of asking a strait guy if he sticks things in his anus for fun would they .
